I have a few suggestions on resources that I have benefited from:

An Australian Youtuber by name of Cherno is making an ongoing series about C++. He has also made an other series about using OpenGL which I haven't gotten much into but will probably in the near future.

I can't post links, but if you search TheChernoProject you will find his youtube page. From there you can go to his playlist on C++.

If you want a book to go with the video series or if you prefer reading, then C++ Primer is an excellent choice in my opinion.

Google: c++ primer 5th edition

Not very far to be honest. I'm working on it though! :)

I'll check on the legal consequences on this, but I can't see how making an interpreter for a language is illegal.

How far have you gotten in C++?

Hello there Noah! Nice to see you here.

My best language is JS, and I'm trying to learn C++. I'd be interested in seeing an interpreter for calculators. Make sure to check on the legalities of this however; I know ROM sharing is illegal, which is basically giving away a calculator for free without buying a physical version. Contact TI to make sure you don't run into any problems with that.

Hope to see you around! :)

I'v visited this website a few times throughout last year so I'm not completely alien to this place but this my first time registering for an account. I'm a programmer from the eastern United States and my language of choice is C++. Currently, I don't have a programmable calculator like a TI-89, but I plan to in the (hopefully) near future.

I did have plans when I was less versed in C++ to create an emulator/interpreter for the languages which these calculators run so that you didn't need to load them into the calculator before testing them. I thought this would save a lot of time. I haven't started on this project as I'm working on others but it would be cool to make one.

I can agree with you squid, that default is not up to my liking.

Re: IDE Progress by AbduBasheerAbduBasheer, 10 Mar 2018 13:31

The default language is JS. I'm actually not liking it myself either because there is no easy to understand documentation for me. Reverting back to Codemirror

I'll be trying out a different editor called Monaco Editor, mainly because I have a lot more power with it. Any suggestions are welcome as this project is coming to an end :)

Re: IDE Progress by BattlesquidBattlesquid, 06 Mar 2018 15:38

No, the hovertips are there, and I verified that Myles made it. Everything should be all good, and if not, I can add a template for the needed category :)

I somehow can't find your creations? I believe that squid is correct, you didn't add a template.

It was because there was no template defined for the category. Added them, should be fixed :)

Could someone check out the Trigonometry and Assembly Hover Tip Creators I made to see if they can be fixed? I actually have some free time to spend doing edits, and this is impeding my progress.

Sorry for the late reply, having a honor grade is important for university xD

And nice job squid, spectacular work!

Hey team! I think that I can take care of completing the command references and/or making more programs for the archive. Best of wishes on our great and new accomplishments!

P.S I have some friends who want to learn Basic, so I believe that they can drive more traffic to our site lol. So let me know your opinions on that team!
